Principal AI Research Engineer Job in India – Mulya Technologies

Mulya Technologies is hiring a Principal Research Engineer, Applied AI for an AI research and engineering role focused on improving the capability, efficiency and performance of modern AI models.

The role works closely with AI hardware and systems teams to develop fine-tuning pipelines, benchmarking systems and model optimization techniques for efficient AI inference.

Key Responsibilities:

Research and implement techniques to improve AI inference performance.
Work on quantization, sparsity, distillation and caching techniques.
Build fine-tuning and post-training pipelines.
Develop benchmarking and model evaluation frameworks.
Analyze model quality, latency, throughput and power efficiency.
Work with hardware, compiler and quantization teams.
Experiment with LoRA, adapters and full fine-tuning.
Study new AI architectures and research papers.

Requirements:

10–15 years of experience in ML research, applied ML or ML systems.
Strong Python and PyTorch skills.
Hands-on experience with Transformers, diffusion models or state space models.
Experience fine-tuning large AI models.
Strong understanding of attention mechanisms and optimization.
Experience building training and evaluation pipelines.
Ability to read and implement techniques from research papers.
