Senior ML Engineer Job in Bengaluru – SKEYEBOTS

SKEYEBOTS is hiring a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to develop and deploy machine learning systems for real-world autonomous robots. The role covers robot perception, learning-based control and multimodal AI systems.

The engineer will work closely with controls, hardware and systems teams to take ML models from training and evaluation to deployment on real robots. The position also includes mentoring junior engineers and providing technical guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, train and deploy ML models for robot perception and control.
Work on computer vision, SLAM, reinforcement learning or imitation learning systems.
Adapt VLM and VLA models for robotics applications.
Build data pipelines, training systems and evaluation frameworks.
Optimize models for edge and embedded hardware.
Debug ML systems running on physical robots.
Mentor junior ML engineers and review their technical work.

Requirements:

6+ years of ML systems experience.
Hands-on experience deploying ML models on physical robots or autonomous systems.
Strong Python and PyTorch skills.
Strong knowledge of at least one area such as computer vision, reinforcement learning, SLAM or motion planning.
Understanding of real-world ML challenges such as data quality, distribution shift and sim-to-real gaps.
Experience with robotics, VLMs, ROS/ROS2 or edge inference is an advantage.
