AI & Machine Learning / Senior AI/ML Engineer

Kotak Neo is hiring a Senior AI/ML Engineer to help build next-generation AI systems for a highly regulated financial environment. The role focuses on developing production-grade, scalable, reliable and explainable AI solutions.

The engineer will work on Generative AI and Agentic AI systems, including AI agents, tool and function calling, workflow orchestration, memory management and autonomous decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
• Build and optimize Generative AI and Agentic AI systems.
• Develop AI agents with tool and function calling.
• Design and improve RAG pipelines, embeddings and vector databases.
• Work on retrieval strategies and grounded AI generation.
• Build scalable and reliable production AI systems.
• Collaborate with technology and product teams.
• Follow security, compliance and responsible AI practices.

Requirements:
• 5–15 years of relevant experience.
• Strong experience in AI/ML engineering.
• Experience with Generative AI, LLMs and Agentic AI.
• Knowledge of RAG, embeddings and vector databases.
• Strong software engineering and problem-solving skills.
